How We Use Cookies

We believe in minimal data collection. Idora uses only essential cookies for authentication and security. No tracking cookies. No advertising cookies. No nonsense.

1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and improve your browsing experience.

We also use similar technologies like local storage and session storage to maintain your authentication state and preferences while using Idora.

Plain English: Cookies are tiny files that help Idora remember who you are so you don't have to log in every time you open the app.

2. How We Use Cookies

Idora uses cookies and similar technologies for a limited set of purposes:

  • Authentication: Keeping you logged in securely across sessions
  • Security: Protecting your account from unauthorized access
  • Preferences: Remembering your language, theme, and display settings
  • Functionality: Enabling core features like form auto-save and navigation state
Our commitment: We do not use cookies for advertising, behavioral tracking, or selling your data. Period.

4. Third-Party Cookies

Some third-party services we use may set their own cookies:

Supabase
Purpose: Authentication and session management
sb-access-token, sb-refresh-token
Paystack
Purpose: Payment processing (only on payment pages)
Paystack session cookies
Cloudflare (Future)
Purpose: Performance and security (if integrated)
cf_clearance, __cf_bm
Note: These third-party cookies are governed by their respective privacy policies. We do not control these cookies and encourage you to review each provider's cookie policy.

5. Managing Cookies

You have several options for managing cookies:

  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. However, blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging into Idora.
  • Do Not Track: We respect Do Not Track signals and do not track users across websites.
  • Local storage: You can clear local storage through your browser's developer tools or settings.
Important: Disabling strictly necessary cookies will break core functionality like authentication. We recommend keeping these enabled.
